Title I School Parent and Family Engagement Policy
The policy states that the program will do the following activities to involve the parents and/or guardians of the Title I students being served:
1. A committee will be set to meet quarterly.
2. An annual meeting will be held for all parents of children who qualify where parents can suggest changes be made to the parent and family engagement policy and then discuss it with the other parents and school personnel present.
3. Parent-teacher conferences will be held
4. Parents will be invited to stop in and observe the program anytime
5. Title I personnel will be readily available for parent appointments
6. Progress reports will be sent to the parents quarterly
7. A monthly newsletter will be sent out
8. A copy of the Title I handbook will be given to all parents
9. A copy of the Parent and Family Engagement Policy is sent home in registration packets and returned to the school. A checklist is made so we can determine who has not brought back the agreement and phone calls are made to the parents/guardians of the students we do not have agreements for.
