At the July 8 school board meeting, the North Mercer R-III School Board, on the recommendation from administration, amended its cell phone policy for the upcoming school year. This policy will affect students in grades 7-12. We have attached a letter and slideshow in the link below to explain the policy, the process that will accompany the policy, and the rationale for why this policy was implemented. In short, we want to provide the best learning environments possible with the fewest distractions so that our students can learn effectively. We ask that you please take the time to read about this new policy and learn how it will play out during this upcoming school year.
