📣 Special Visit from Senator Rusty Black! Last Friday, we had the honor of hosting Senator Rusty Black at North Mercer R-III. Senator Black took time out of his busy schedule to visit our school, speak with our students, and engage in meaningful discussions. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to Senator Black for traveling all the way to Mercer, MO, and for sharing his insights with our students. Our 7-12 grade eligible students will be attending their 2nd Quarter Reward Trip to the Movie Theatre tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th. 4th Grade - 6th Grade will be attending a movie on Friday, January 10th for their 2nd Quarter Reward Trip. (K-3 attended their 2nd Quarter Reward Trip the last week of December.) If they are eligible, will be bringing a permissions slip home today to be signed and 7-12 students need to return them tomorrow before the bus leaves in the morning. 4-6th students need to return signed permission slips by Friday before the bus leaves. They will receive a small popcorn and a small soda of their choice for Free. The concession stand WILL be open if they would like to purchase any additional snacks. Students going on the trip will be gone from 8:30-noon and will eat lunch upon arrival back at the school. Students who are not eligible also have a note today with the criteria marked for ineligibility. They still need to be in attendance tomorrow as attendance is part of the criteria for the 3rd Quarter Reward Trip. Hello North Mercer Families! I am so impressed with our Elementary students' willingness to participate in the Accelerated Reader Program this year as it is now offered as optional. So many students have continued to read and have worked diligently to reach their goals. This is a very small snapshot of all the hard work they have put in throughout the first semester of the 24-25 school year.
